Mission Statement
As a trade association, IFG represents and promotes not only factor-members but the factoring industry's professionals and advisors such as software providers, lawyers, risk managers and insolvency experts. The IF-Group's influence on global factoring is far greater now than it has ever been and all this has an impact on education initiatives.
In recent years our education seminars have become more professional in their approach and have provided stimulating forums for the exchange of ideas. Sponsors and partners address the meetings and there is a clear focus for each seminar, as seen in the GM Club (General Managers), the International Managers Club, and theme-based seminars aimed at those who manage risk day in and day out. The IFG puts courses together with the CFA and FDA and addresses the ever-expanding product range in the industry - asset-based lending (ABL); direct factoring; reverse factoring, to name a few examples.
It's true that you learn through your own experience, but it is equally true - and we can all find examples in our own lives - that you learn from interesting and knowledgeable people around you, those who are 'open' and willing to give. Those are the people we get to present in our seminars.
