Chapters
The existing chapters of IFG concern the following regions of the world :
The declared objects of the Chapter are:
- to share experiences between local members in the Area;
- to report on such experiences to the worldwide membership;
- to advance the best interests of local members and partners;
- to lobby ministers, legislators, government officers and others whose decisions or advice may influence the success or otherwise of members’ and partners’ businesses;
- to engage in public relations activities designed to raise local awareness of the benefits of international factoring;
- to develop the skills of members’ and partners’ staff through educational activities and staff exchanges;
- to attract new members, partners and sponsors;
- to offer networking opportunities for members, partners and sponsors through seminars, meetings and other functions.
The Chapter has no separate legal structure but operates as a working committee of IFG. All rules for membership and by-laws of IFG apply to new members and partners. An organisation cannot become a member of the Chapter, but only of IFG. IFG can at anytime decide to end some or all of the activities of the Chapter, without affecting the rights or the obligations of the IFG-members and partners which have joined through the efforts of the Chapter.
